DEINTERCALATION AND REINTERCALATION ENERGETICS OF AMMONIATED TITANIUM DISULFIDE

摘要
The deintercalation and reintercalation processes in ammoniated TiS//2 have been studied by thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, vapor-pressure measurements, and powder X-ray diffraction. The enthalpies determined calorimetrically for complete NH//3 and NH//4** plus deintercalation of (NH//4** plus )//0//. //2//4(NH//3)//0//. //2//3TiS//2**0**. **2**4** minus are approximately 10. 5 and 22 kcal/mole, respectively. These enthalpies are in good agreement with those reevaluated from a previous calorimetric study of ammoniated TaS//2. Ammonia vapor-pressure curves for deintercalation and reintercalation of (NH//4** plus )//0//. //2//4(NH//3)//y multiplied by (times) TiS//2**0**. **2** 4** minus exhibit hysteresis, and the enthalpies for these reactions are estimated to be 15. 5 and minus 13 kcal/mole, respectively.
