摘要
Sites in the frog's optic tectum, diencephalon, and telencephalon were found to yield evoked patterns of electrical response to light flashes. In frogs treated with estradiol, testosterone, or progesterone in different doses, the amplitudes and latencies of these electrical responses were altered, each hormone having a particular and different action in different parts of the brain. It was concluded that the loci of hormonal responsiveness for each hormone are, at least in part, different and characteristic for the type of hormone. Furthermore, the optically evoked forebrain potentials varied greatly during the year, arguing for a natural cycle of humoral control over this phenomenon. © 1969.
