摘要
Various techniques for measuring and recording human behaviour are critically reviewed. These include direct visual observation, free space traversal, accelerometry and telemetry. A new free space traversal technique is described which introduces the possibility of more detailed analysis in terms of variation of spatial position over time, and also allows the simultaneous recording of two subjects. The system fulfils three requirements-high reliability, ease of data aquisition and handling, and minimal interference with the subject. The major components of the system are described in detail. © 1969 International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering.
