摘要
Liquid-crystal phases were detected in the binary system cetylpyridinium bromide/N-methylsydnone by optical microscopy and small-angle X-ray diffraction. Surfactant self-aggregation can thus occur in aprotic solvents. Hydrogen bonding in solvents is thus not an essential requirement for molecular aggregation. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
