SOME REACTIONS OF STABLE OZONIDE DERIVED FROM 4H-CYCLOPENTA[DEF]PHENANTHRENE

摘要
The ozonization of 4H-cyclopenta[def]phenanthrene gave exclusively a stable monomeric ozonide in a pure crystalline state. Reduction of the ozonide afforded the corresponding dialdehyde, diol, and lactone by treatment with triphenylphosphine, lithium aluminium hydride, and sodium sulfite, respectively. Photo-irradiation of the ozonide converted it into an acid anhydride. The corresponding aldehyde acid was obtained by pyrolysis of the ozonide. © 1979.
