摘要
Measurements of surface self-diffusion on gold obtained by the multiple scratch smoothing technique are reported. Above 930°C the results may be represented as Ds = D0exp ( -Q kT) where Q = 65 kcal mole and D0 = 8 × 106 cm2 sec. Below 930°C there is a catastrophic decrease of Ds. A theoretical treatment is developed in terms of the terrace-ledge-kink model (TLK) of a surface. © 1968.
