摘要：

Examples of presented to illustrate the affects of changing the outer radius and the ratio of root absorbing power to inward flux of water on nondimensional concentration as a function of nondimensional time and distance. The examples presented are based on the analytical solution to two flow situations. A method is also presented to show how simple solutions can be constructed for the flow problem involving only trigonometric functions.
