MICROSTRUCTURAL EVOLUTION DURING SUPERPLASTIC FLOW OF A BINARY MG-8.5 WT PERCENT LI ALLOY

摘要
A warm-rolled binary Mg-8.5 wt.% Li alloy exhibits superplasticity at intermediate temperatures. Elongation-to-failures as high as 610% were obtained. The increase in the value of the strain-rate-sensitivity exponent and the change in the microstructure suggest that the Mg-8.5 wt.% Li alloy has undergone continuous dynamic recrystallization during superplastic deformation.
