摘要
In this paper, a test is derived for the hypothesis of complete spatial randomness. Consider events occurring as points in a planar region. A sample of n locations is selected and the two nearest events to each of the sample points are found. The test is based on the angle between the vectors joining each sample point to its two nearest neighbors. The power of the proposed test is compared with Hopkins and T-2 tests. The test can be very useful in forestry and ecology studies in regions with terrains that make distance measurements difficult.
