摘要
The dependence on temperature of the first absorption band, E-max, of iodide in water has been carefully investigated at 75 different temperatures over the range 1.0 to 90.8 degrees. The data are satisfactorily correlated using a series of step functions rather than a single straight line. This behaviour supports the view that the properties of aqueous solutions display thermal anomalies (or "kinks").
