SELF-CONSISTENT APPROXIMATION FOR SPIN-1/2 QUANTUM HEISENBERG ANTIFERROMAGNETS

摘要
Using an extended self-consistent mean-field method, we deal with the nonlinear terms of the quantum antiferromagnetic Heisenberg Hamiltonian based upon Anderson's antiferromagnetic spin-wave theory. The expressions for ground-state energy, excitation spectrum, and staggered magnetization at T = 0 are given for all dimensions in a unified picture. We also calculate the numerical results for ground-state properties, which agree well with those from Monte Carlo simulations.
