Z-SCAN STUDIES OF NONLINEAR ABSORPTION AND REFRACTION IN BULK, UNDOPED INP

摘要
The Z-scan experimental technique has been employed to measure the two-photon absorption coefficient, beta, bound electronic nonlinear refractive index, gamma, and free-carrier refractive index, sigma(r), in bulk, undoped InP at 1060 nm. We find beta approximate to 90 cm/GW, gamma approximate to - 1.5 X 10(-12) cm(2)/W and sigma(r),approximate to - 0.4 X 10(-21) cm(3), and compare these values to theoretical calculations.
