THEORY OF ULTRASONIC 3-PHONON INTERACTIONS IN SINGLE-CRYSTAL SOLIDS

摘要
We derive expressions relating wave amplitudes and third-order constants for resonant ultrasonic three-phonon interactions in single-crystal solids. Ten resonant interactions are tabulated for the case of copper. We reemphasize earlier suggestions that three-phonon interactions can be used to determine third-order elastic constants. © 1969 The American Institute of Physics.
