摘要
The uniaxial creep deformation of a material containing a doubly periodic square array of circular cylindrical voids is studied under plane strain conditions. A variational principle for incompressible nonlinear viscous behavior is used as the basis for implementing a finite element solution. The effects of large, time dependent deformation are included in the formulation. A power law creep relationship is used and results are obtained for the influence of different stress exponents on the overall ductility. The void shape evolution and zones of concentrated deformation are described under increasing overall strain. © 1979.
