A SEARCH FOR AN EFFICIENT METHOD OF SEED PROPAGATION IN CYTISUS-HETEROCHROUS WEBB EX COLMEIRO

摘要：

The effect of four factors on the germination of Cytisus heterochrous Webb ex Colmeiro seeds has been studied using the sequential order: a) aril removal; b) optimum temperature; c) different scarification systems and d) either bleaching of germination inhibitors or the use of promoters. As a result of this investigation we have reached at the best germination procedure, consisting on aril removal plus scarification with concentrated sulphuric acid for 40 min. The optimum temperature for germination is a constant 16-degrees-C.
