摘要
It is shown that aqueous ammonia interacts simultaneously with the surface of carbonaceous materials and the hydrophilic centres. The net heats derived from the enthalpy of immersion are, respectively, 0.083 J m-2 and 43 J mmol-1 of hydrophilic centres. This new technique, combined with immersion into pure water and with classical adsorption data provides rapid and reliable information on the surface of porous and non-porous carbons.
