TAU LIFETIME MEASUREMENTS WITH THE IMPACT PARAMETERS SUM METHOD IN 1-1 EVENTS

摘要
The impact parameter sum method permits to obtain good statistical sensitivity in tau lifetime determination in one prong tau decays, due to its insensitivity to the unknown tau production point. In this paper four different versions of this method are described, and the main common features and limitations are discussed. Preliminary results obtained by ALEPH on 1992 data and by DELPHI on 1992 and 1993 data are reported.
