摘要
In this article I describe how traditional Tswana healers perceive AIDS and classify it as either a “Tswana disease” or a “modern disease.” I also discuss the consequences that these categorizations may have for preventing the spread of HIV, as well as the possible role that healers can play in this important effort. 1990 American Anthropological Association
