摘要：

A male patient had advanced polyostotic Paget's disease for about 35 years, of which 28 years were spent in the chronic wards of a large city hospital. Chronic osteomyelitis of both jaws complicated oral surgical procedures on numerous occasions. Construction of dentures proved impossible because of the constantly changing structure of the edentulous ridges. The patient survived without dentures for a protracted period of time, with no ill effects to his gastrointestinal system, as evidenced by autopsy reports. © 1969.
