摘要
The authors prepared electronically-conducting films that were functionalized with a stable, reversible redox center. In particular, systems were sought in which the redox center was conjugated to the electronically-conducting polymer backbone. Thin films of [Fe(2)32+]n were obtained in an analogous manner by cycling the applied potential between 0 and +1.7 v, monitoring the film growth by cyclic voltammetry. Separate redox reactions for Fe2+/Fe3+ oxidation and polythiophene oxidation and reduction are apparent both in the growing film and in the modified electrode.
