摘要
We analyse the present knowledge of the Kobayashi-Maskawa element V(td) and study the improvement on its bound arising from future measurements of m(t), B(K+/--->pi+/-nu-nuBAR) and V(cb). We find that, provided that m(t) is known, a measurement of B(K+/--->pi+/-nu-nuBAR) will test the consistency of the standard model, but actual improvement on the value of V(td) will require the additional knowledge of V(cb) to a few percent accuracy. At that point, the use of B(K+/--->pi+/-nu-nuBAR) for the determination of V(td) will be limited by the uncertainty on m(c).
