HOW LARGE CAN DIRECT CP VIOLATION IN K-]3-PI BE FROM CHIRAL PERTURBATION-THEORY

摘要
Using a general parametrization, we discuss the size of direct CP violation in charged K --> 3-pi decays, as it should be expected from chiral perturbation theory including chiral corrections to order p4. These terms are required in order to remove the DELTA-I = 3/2 suppression. We argue that the magnitude of these effects for the slope asymmetry, although enhanced by the DELTA-I = 1/2 rule, should be at most of the order of 10(-5).
