摘要
The effect of Ag2O addition on the formation of Y1Ba2Cu4O8 superconductor was investigated in terms of reaction-rate enhancement. It was clearly observed that the preferential formation of Y1Ba2Cu4O8 phase was enhanced with an increase in the added amount of Ag2O even at an ordinary pressure of oxygen. The approximately single Y1Ba2Cu4O8 phase together with the compositionally reasonable amount of metallic silver phase could be formed when added amount of Ag2O was 50 wt.%. The results well evidenced that Y1Ba2Cu4O8 can be simply prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction.
