摘要
Presents a procedure for estimating development values of coastal wetlands in the USA using readily available courthouse records as a data source. A hedonic price equation, which includes a variable to measure the level of waterfront amenity created from filled coastal marsh, is used to predict the value derived from filling an additional small area of coastal wetlands for residential development. The net value for development is calculated by subtracting development costs and is compared to natural wetland value foregone from marsh filling. -R. K. Turner
