摘要
Homomolecular oxygen exchange on Pt electrode in a zirconia electrochemical cell was studied. It was found that the current passing through the cell (O2- pumping through the electrolyte) does not change the rate of oxygen exchange on the Pt electrode with respect to its open circuit value, a fact that indicates that the strength of the chemisorptive bond of oxygen on the Pt electrode is invariant under open and closed circuit conditions.
