摘要
A method has been developed to generate a single-dose-radiation-cell-survival curve for rat thyroid gland cells. The technique employed relies on the quantitative transplantation of enzymatically prepared monodisposal cells into isologous recipient rat fat pads. The cells irradiated in vitro prior to implantation. A positive end point consists of the formation of morphologically and functionally normal thyroid follicles. The survival curve generated for the hormonal condition employed has a D0 of 190 rad and an extrapolation value of 4.
