In 1976 the annual rate of deposition of 90Sr from atmospheric tests of nuclear weapons reached its lowest value since the systematic measurement of radioactive fallout began in the 1950's. The late 1976 Chinese tests may have contributed about 9 kCi to the total of about 49 kCi deposited during 1976. © 1978, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
