摘要
TaB2 single crystals were grown by the floating zone and the Al solution methods. Floating zone specimens consisted of the TaB2 and Ta3B4 phases. The central parts had TaB2 single crystal grains 0.5-3 mm in diameter, some of which were combined with a little precipitated second phase, while the peripheries had multiphase structures. Crystals grown from Al solution were hexagonal needle-like TaB2 single crystals 0.3-3 mm in size without second phase. These crystals had very few impurities and had the stoichiometric composition. © 1979.
