摘要
:
A proposed test of the synchronization of very closely spaced clocks, which was obtained in a recent paper using general relativity, is derived using special relativity only and generalized to the case of large separation between the clocks. It is pointed out that an equivalent test was performed by Sagnac in 1915, with results in agreement with the theory. © 1979 The American Physical Society.
