SIDE FEEDING PATTERN AND GAMMA-MULTIPLICITIES IN MG-26(XE-136,4N)DY-158

摘要：

The statistical model of nuclear reactions has been applied to the description of the reaction 26Mg (136Xe, 4n) 158Dy at Elab = 4.1 MeV/A. The Monte Carlo calculation of the entry distribution has been performed. By using the same simulation technique γ-multiplicities and the side feeding population of the ground-state band are described and are found in reasonable agreement with the data. The competition between statistical and collective transitions seems to be responsible for the two-bump structure observed in the side feeding pattern. A possible explanation in terms of excited bands above the yrast line is discussed. © 1979.
