摘要
The reaction of dicyclopentadienyldiphenyltitanium with phenyllithium in ether solution takes place with reduction of titanium(IV) to titanium(III) and then to titanium(II). The reaction products in the presence of excess phenyllithium are diphenyltitanium, cyclopentadienyllithium, benzene, metallic lithium and small amounts of diphenyl and triphenylene. Titanium compounds were found to catalyse the decomposition of phenyllithium to benzene and lithium. © 1969.
