摘要
The fully plastic expansion of thick-walled tubes with arbitrary strain-hardening properties is discussed in general terms for the practically important case of closed-end conditions. A closed-form expression for the pressure-expansion relationship is established and a method is presented for an accurate determination of the instability strain. The importance of an elastic plastic analysis for very thick tubes is indicated and a method of evaluating the instability strain and the bursting pressure for such tubes is also discussed. © 1969.
