THERMODYNAMIC STUDY OF SOLID AND LIQUID LITHIUM + LEAD ALLOYS USING KNUDSEN-EFFUSION MASS-SPECTROMETRY

The vapour pressure of lithium over liquid and solid alloys of lithium and lead has been measured in the mole-fraction range 0.05 ≤ x(Li) ≤ 0.95 at temperatures between 700 and 900 K using Knudsen-effusion mass spectrometry. From the results the relative partial molar quantities of lithium have been derived. Molar quantities have been calculated using in addition the relative partial molar quantities for lead obtained with the help of the Gibbs-Duhem equation. © 1979.
