We have obtained photometric observations of the BL Lacerate object OQ 530 in an effort to study the nature of variations which may be occurring on timescales ranging from years to less than one day. Rapid events have been observed, with changes as rapid as 0.06 mag observed in 20 min. These changes are among the most rapid ever detected for a BL Lacerate object. The variations have been investigated to determine if they are periodic in nature. We find no evidence for any significant periodicities to be present.
