摘要
The GaAlAs laser-diode-to-diffused-waveguide edge-coupling efficiency has been evaluated using a Gaussian model for both the waveguide mode and the laser-output mode. The results of the calculation are shown to be in good agreement with previously unpublished coupling data. © 1979, Optical Society of America.
