摘要
The stepwise formation constants (K) of the tropolonate chelates of the tripositive lanthanide ions and yttrium have been measured at 25° at ionic strength 0·100 M (KNO3). Values of K1, K2, and K3 were obtained for the ions La3+ through Eu3+ and values of K1, K2, K3, and K4 for the ions Gd3+ through Lu3+ and Y3+. Each of the four stepwise formation constants increases with decrease in crystal radii of the Ln3+ ions. The values for the yttrium chelates are consistent with the size of the Y3+ ion. Variations in the magnitudes of the constants are discussed. © 1969.
