摘要
For a drift-type instability in low-temperature magnetized plasmas, the transition from collisional to convective transport is investigated. First, regular coherent modes dominate, but with increasing control parameter, spatially coherent but time-chaotic states appear. The signature of nonlinear dynamics with subsequent chaos is a crossover in the magnetic-field dependencies of the particle diffusion coefficients. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
