ENERGY DEPENDENCE OF NUBARP FOR NEUTRON-INDUCED FISSION OF 235U 238U AND 239PU FROM 1.3-MEV TO 15-MEV

摘要
The energy dependence of vp, the average number of prompt neutrons per fission, has been measured simultaneously for 235U, 238U and 239Pu over the incident energy range 1·5-15 MeV by comparing the number of prompt neutrons from neutron induced fission with that from spontaneous fission of 252Cf. A time-of-flight selection system was used for all vp determinations. For 238U and 239Pu the variation of pp with energy is linear from 1·5 to 15 MeV. For 235U at 6 MeV there is a rounded-off step due to the onset of the (n, n′f)process. © 1969.
