THE ROLE OF OXYGEN IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IN YBA2CU3O6+X COMPOUNDS - A PERCOLATION MODEL

摘要
With the Monte Carlo simulation technique we studied the suggestion whether the threshold behaviour of high temperature superconductivity (HTSC) depending on x may be associated with a percolative effect. It was assumed that oxygen atoms arranged on the b edges of the unit cell initiate "regions of excitement" of some size, overlapping of which (percolative cluster formation) results in the appearance of HTSC. It has been found that for x≈0.40 the size of the region of excitement is ≈8 Å. © 1990.
