TOWARD META RESEARCH ON TECHNOLOGY-TRANSFER

Technology Transfer (TT) literature has grown expotentially during the last 25 years. As in most emerging fields the literature is quite disjointed. It is especially so in TT because of the cross-disciplinary nature of the field. Although a number of taxonomies have been proposed most are by and for a specific discipline, e.g., economics or sociology. This paper offers a synthesis, an integrative review, of the various taxonomic efforts while taking into account each of the streams of TT knowledge.
