摘要
The photo-induced crosslinking of a silicone containing pendant acrylate groups has been investigated with photocalorimetric and sol-gel measurements, and by means of postpolymerization experiments. The silicone acrylate can be crosslinked using benzoin derivatives and benzil ketals as photo-initiators. Excited benzophenone acts only in the presence of hydrogen-siloxanes, because of an efficient hydrogen abstraction reaction at the Si-H bond. The silyl radicals so produced initiate the crosslinking of the acrylate. In the presence of oxygen, pseudo first order reactions between polymer radicals and oxygen terminate the polymerization process. Added H-siloxanes enhance network formation.
