摘要
The ionic conduct vity of concentrated solid solutions Pb1-xAlxF2+x increases super linearly with doping. This phenomenon is attributed in the literature to the presence of defect clusters and a conduction mechanism involving both fluoride ion vacancies, and fluoride interstitials, and possibly even the defect clusters. It is shown that the existence of defect clusters in Pb1-xAlxF2+x: is unlikely and that for annealed Pb1-xAlxF2+x the usual fluoride ion interstitial mechanism can be applied, while for quenched Pb1-xAlxF2+xz stress in the lattice influences the conductivity substantially. © 1979, The Electrochemical Society, Inc.
