Mandibular inciscors from young inbred Balb/C mice were extracted to determine effects on growth of the mandible and to ascertain the fate of any odontogenic epithelial remnants. Absence of the incisors resulted in a morphologically altered mandible. Odontogenic epithelial remnants and their products were observed in 20% of the experimental mandibles. © 1969, Sage Publications. All rights reserved.
