Mossbauer study of IF6+AsF6- and Cs+IF6-: structure and nature of the bond

摘要
The Mossbauer effect in I-129 was used to investigate the structure of IF6+AsF6-, and Cs+IF6- complexes. The symmetry of the IF6+ ion was found to he octahedral in agreement with other measurements. A possible structure of the IF6- ion is presented. The limiting values of ionicity of the I - F bond have been calculated.
