摘要
Using the reduction of the trichlorides by lithium metal/naphthalene in tetrahydrofurane (THF), SmCl2 and EuCl2 were prepared in solventfree state, very sparingly soluble in THF. The reduction of YbCl3, combined with extraction to eliminate the oxide chloride content, yielded the compound YbCl2·THF, much more soluble in THF than YbCl3. © 1979 Springer-Verlag.
