摘要
The equal-time commutator between the time component of the axial vector current and the baryon field is assumed to be proportional to the field itself. We use the technique of Sugawara to fix the proportionality factor r in the commutator. Consideration of the P 33 resonances Δα(1236) and Δβ(1688) together with the D 33 resonance Δγ(1691) gives three possible values of |r|. Study of the S 11 resonance {Mathematical expression} together with the P 11 baryons {Mathematical expression} and {Mathematical expression} shows that the experimental decay widths {Mathematical expression} and {Mathematical expression} select r≈±1.2. The value of |r| so obtained is in agreement with that which one can deduce using the Jacobi identity and current algebra. © 1969 Società Italiana di Fisica.
