VIBRATIONAL-SPECTRA AND STRUCTURE OF GERMYL ISOCYANATE

摘要
The infrared spectra (20-2500 cm-1) of gaseous and solid GeH3NCO and GeD3NCO and the Raman spectra (10-2500 cm-1) of gaseous, liquid and solid GeH3NCO and GeD3NCO have been recorded. The GeNC bending mode was observed at 55.5 cm-1 in the infrared spectrum of gaseous GeH3NCO and the first overtone occurs at 106 cm-1 in both the infrared and Raman spectra of the gas. The GeH3 torsion was not observed. The rotational fine structure observed on the GeH3 modes is believed to be due to the nearly free internal rotation of the GeH3 moiety. A normal coordinate calculation was carried out utilizing a modified valence force field. A considerable amount of mixing was found between the GeH3 rocks and NCO bending modes. The other normal modes were fairly pure. © 1979.
