QUANTUM SIMULATION OF FEMTOSECOND POPULATION-CONTROL IN IODINE

摘要
Recent experiments on femtosecond selective control of wave packet population in iodine are simulated, using time-dependent quantum propagations directly including the interaction with the laser field in semiclassical dipole approximation. The agreement between experimental and calculated results is excellent, and new predictions are made concerning the behavior of the system following variable pulse delay times in strong field conditions.
