摘要
The effect of chloro-, bromo- and iodoacetylcholine on ACh synthesis by human placental choline acetyltransferase has been investigated. All three compounds are potent inhibitors, chloroacetylcholine giving virtually complete inhibition at a concentration of 62.5 × 10-6 M. The inhibition is reversible and uncompetitive with respect to both choline and acetyl-CoA. A new radiochemical assay for the enzyme is outlined. © 1969.
