摘要
The currently favoured techniques for interstitial condensation prediction are highly approximate in their treatment of the moisture transmission process, but will continue to be used until a more comprehensive model is available. It is important therefore that designers using these techniques have at their disposal accurate material performance data. Current information is shown to be inadequate and could not be applied with any degree of confidence. An alternative approach to data presentation is proposed which allows the prediction of vapour permeability for any given set of humidity conditions. Values of permeability can be generated in this format with only minor modifications to currently adopted standard test methods. © 1990.
